What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-based approach that supports the development of meaningful skills related to communication, social interaction, and daily living. ABA focuses on improving behaviors that have a positive and practical impact on an individual’s quality of life, while taking into account each person’s unique needs and abilities.

Through the use of positive reinforcement and other evidence-based strategies, ABA aims to reduce challenging behaviors and increase appropriate, functional skills across a variety of settings, including home, school, and the community.

ABA includes a range of teaching methodologies that can be individualized to best support each learner. For individuals with autism, extensive research has identified ABA as an evidence-based practice, meaning the strategies used are supported by scientific research and selected to promote effective, meaningful learning outcomes.

Why ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is widely recognized as an effective approach for supporting individuals with autism and other developmental needs. ABA focuses on teaching practical skills that promote independence, communication, and social engagement. Programs are individualized, data-driven, and adjusted over time to ensure progress is meaningful and relevant to each child and family. By emphasizing positive reinforcement and evidence-based practices, ABA helps children build skills that support long-term success across home, school, and community environments.

Why choose us for ABA therapy?

At ABAFoundations (ABAF) we pride ourselves in offering high-quality collaborative wrap around ABA services from the onset of diagnosis and beyond. We can provide these services at one of our center locations coupled with in home support and parent training to meet comprehensive developmental needs for our learners.

This process is carefully planned with the family to ensure that treatment contextually fits within the family lifestyle.  For learners who are in school all day, after-school hours are available at our centers to target focused areas of needs such as social skill development, or home routines that have proven challenging for the family.

All services are implemented by our highly trained team consisting of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who have pledged to make a difference in family lives. At ABAF we utilize a multidisciplinary team approach to support the ever-changing needs of our learners. This is done by coordinating team meetings with all stakeholders to establish ongoing needs from multiple professional backgrounds or to discuss overcoming barriers to treatment to ensure ongoing progress in the desired direction for the learner.

Parent involvement is essential to the success of treatment.  We engage in online learning at the onset of services using a parent training curriculum followed by in-home parent coaching utilizing hands on learning of strategies in an applied setting.
