Our Services
Center-Based ABA Therapy
Center-based ABA therapy provides a structured environment where children diagnosed with autism can build pivotal developmental skills such as communication, social, overcoming food aversions, potty training and learning life skills through consistent, evidence-based interventions. It also offers access to trained professionals and peer interactions, helping children generalize skills and make meaningful progress on skills needed to be successful across their learning environments.
Parent Coaching & Support
Parent coaching looks different for each family, varying based on individual needs of the family unit. Our BCBAs teach caregivers practical strategies to reinforce positive behaviors and support skill development during everyday routines (routine-based interventions). We provide ongoing support that empowers parents to respond consistently, helping their child make steady progress and maintain gains over time. We may do this through asynchronous online parent training on understanding the foundational skills of ABA or live in the home or community to guide and support while challenging situations are occurring. Parent Coaching is provided to all families, whether center based or home and community based.
Home and Community Based ABA Therapy
ABA therapy in home and community settings helps children apply skills in the environments where they naturally live and interact, thus making learning more meaningful and practical. Life skills such as toileting, brushing teeth, and other home-based chores while reducing problem behaviors may be a focus of our time in the home. Safety-skills such as staying close to a caregiver while in the community, waiting near a caregiver while shopping and not wandering off may be a focus of our time in the community. We may attend doctor or dentist appointments to assist with reduction of challenging behaviors and increasing success in participating in these community outings. These goals would be developed in collaboration with caregivers thus improving their child’s independence and helping their skills generalize across different settings and people.
Social Skills
Social skills in ABA focus on teaching children how to interact appropriately with others, such as taking turns, initiating conversations, and understanding social cues. These skills are broken down into manageable steps and practiced consistently to help children build meaningful relationships and navigate social situations more confidently. We may integrate this throughout your child’s day at ABAF or establish exclusion social skill groups after school with the goal of supporting learners of varying ages and needs.
School Readiness
ABA therapy helps young children build foundational school readiness skills such as following instructions, sitting for structured group activities, and communicating their needs effectively. Through individualized and consistent teaching strategies, it prepares children in early intervention to transition more smoothly into classroom environments and routines. ABAF will assist families through this important transition by attending meetings to local school districts such as school evaluations or IEP meetings. On some occasions we may transition with your child on a temporary basis to enhance opportunity for success in the new environment.
